BAYFIELD

As a small community Bayfield has many yearly traditions that attracts visitors from all over.

In winter, there are several conservation areas with groomed and marked trails within minutes of the village or ski the snowy streets of Bayfield.

White sand beaches and safe shorelines abound in the village.

There are six 9- or 18-hole golf courses within a 20-minute drive of the town and an abundance of bird life at nearby Hullett Wildlife Marsh.

The 'downtown' area is a shopper's delight with a wide variety of stores and restaurants.. most open year-round.

GODERICH

Queen Elizabeth II once commented that Goderich was "The Prettiest Town in Canada".

Goderich's downtown has an octagonal traffic circle known as 'The Square'. The county courthouse stands in the middle of The Square. This is where the majority of the town's shops are located.

Attractions include The Huron Historic Gaol, The Huron County Museum and The Marine Museum.

Goderich features 3 public use beaches where beach users can walk along a wooden boardwalk over a mile in length. The main beach, at the north end, is a sand and fine gravel beach where swimmers and sunbathers can watch lake freighters loading up with salt on the other side of the pier. Further south is St. Christopher's beach and at the far end of the boardwalk is "The Cove", a family-friendly sand beach with lifeguards and playground equipment.
GRAND BEND

Grand Bend is known both for being part of hundreds of miles of open beach on the "West Coast of Ontario" and as an active night life hotspot.

Often referred to as simply "The Bend" or "GB," it is home to a variety of stores and eateries. The main strip is the centre of activity in the town, with shopping during the day and night life venues during the evening drawing crowds. The atmosphere of Grand Bend has given the town a reputation of being Florida north.

The sandy beaches are crowded on weekends and the water is clean and the sand stretches out into the water gently sloping manner which provides a comfortable and safe swimming experience. When the winds are out of the northwest you know that the waves are going to grow in size and waveboarders take to the lake.
